Because the Palo Santo tree only releases its fragrance after it has died, the legend goes that its soul is set free when it is burned. That is why it is called “Holy Wood.”

The wood is burned, and the smoke is spread to cleanse and purify the environment from bad spirits, negative energies, and other malevolent forces. Holy Wood has a very pleasant and calming scent that cannot be compared to any other fragrance. Burning a small piece of wood creates a peaceful, warm atmosphere and puts you in a pleasant and relaxed mood. Usage:

When you light the Palo Santo, try to think of something positive and wait until it starts burning.

Then, gently blow out the flame and let the wood produce smoke.

If you want to cleanse your house, start at the top of the dwelling.

Go through every corner and room with the smoke until you reach the bottom floor. After you’ve covered all the spaces downstairs, end at an open back or front door so that the negative energy can leave your house that way.

For cleansing your gemstones or yourself, you can pass the gemstones through the smoke or slowly move the Palo Santo along your body or the stones.

You can gently wave and direct the smoke with your hands to the desired area.
